Adobo with Oyster Sauce
Take your Adobo to the next level by adding a twist of Oyster Sauce! Everyone has their own take on adobo, but this one brings in a bit of spice from chili and a blend of sweet and savory from Oyster Sauce. More flavorful than the usual adobo, for sure!
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg pork liempo cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 sachet 8G MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 head garlic crushed
- 3 pcs red chili
- 2 pcs bay leaves
- 1 tbsp black peppercorn
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup MAGGI® OYSTER SAUCE
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 kg picked leaves and tender stems of kangkong
- 1 tbsp toasted garlic
Instructions
- Season pork with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Preheat a pan and drizzle 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Sear pork until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add garlic, chili, bay leaf and peppercorn and sauté for 1 minute. Add vinegar and simmer for 2 minutes. Add seared pork, MAGGI® Oyster Sauce and water. Simmer for 45 minutes. Remove the pork and sauce and set aside.
- Pour remaining oil in the same pan and sauté kangkong for 1 minute. Transfer into a serving plate. Place pork on top and pour sauce on top. Garnish with toasted garlic and serve.
